Working Principle

High accuracy stainless steel vortex flowmeter consists of two parts: flow sensor and signal processor. The core part of the flow sensor is a mechanical part called “vortex vane”, which can be made of stainless steel and other materials. When the fluid with a sufficiently large flow rate perpendicular to the direction of fluid flow through the vortex vane, the vortex will be behind the vortex vane along two parallel straight lines to produce a neatly arranged, opposite direction of the vortex column. The number of these vortex columns (i.e., vortex frequency) is directly proportional to the fluid flow rate. The flow sensor calculates the fluid flow by acquiring the vortex signals on the vortex vane, while the signal processor analyzes these signals and outputs the results in the form of digital signals, thus realizing real-time monitoring and control of the flow.
