How to select vortex flowmeter for high temperature steam?

The so-called high-temperature steam vortex flowmeter as the name suggests is able to measure the temperature of the gas or liquid, Meacon high-temperature steam vortex flowmeter can measure the high temperature upper limit temperature of 350 ℃ liquid or gas media, for the site of high temperature media such as thermal oil, high-temperature steam and other media. Measurement of high-temperature site should be selected with temperature and pressure compensation vortex flowmeter, because the medium temperature is too high, there will be a temperature difference will cause the vortex flowmeter error caused by the inaccurate readings. So the vortex flowmeter for high temperature steam should be selected with temperature and pressure compensation.

High-temperature steam vortex flowmeter during the selection period also needs to be based on the measurement medium, temperature, flow range, calibre, working pressure and other parameters to be selected to better meet the site use. Wiring design of vortex flowmeters for high temperature steam

Three-wire vortex flowmeter wiring design for output frequency signals：

Output frequency signal of the three-wire flow sensor using DC24V or DC12V power supply, generally through the three-core shielded cable line (RWP3 × 0.5mm) and display instrumentation or computer connected to the shielding should be reliably connected to the amplifier shell grounding screws. Shielded cable line selection should be suitable for the site environmental requirements, in addition to shielded cable line to be separated from other strong power power lines, not parallel to the line.

Two-wire vortex flowmeter wiring design with standard 4~20mA current signal output:

Output standard 4 ~ 20mA current signal two-wire transmitter with DC24V power supply, generally through the two-core shielded cable line (RWP3 × 0.5mm) and display instrumentation or computer connected to the shielding should be reliably connected to the amplifier shell grounding screws. Shielded cable line selection should be suitable for the site environmental requirements, in addition to shielding the cable line to be separated from other strong power power lines, not parallel to the line.

The vortex flowmeter for high temperature steam with RS-485 communication adopts DC24V power supply and four-wire transmission with other devices.

How to install vortex flowmeter for high temperature steam?

• 1. High-temperature steam vortex flowmeter as far as possible to be installed away from the source of vibration and electromagnetic interference in a strong place, the vibration of the existence of the place must be used vibration damping devices to reduce the pipeline by the impact of vibration.
• 2. Configuration of the straight pipe section, before and after the straight pipe section to meet the requirements of the vortex flowmeter, the internal diameter of the pipeline must also be consistent with the internal diameter of the vortex flow transmitter.

Cveat:

Minimise the impact of steam hammer on the vortex generator in the pipeline. Vortex flow meters should not be used when vibration is high and cannot be eliminated.

Commissioning instructions:

• 1. Connect the signal and power cables;
• 2. Open the inlet and outlet valves, and the inlet and outlet valve openings should be the same;
• 3. Open the stainless steel three-valve balancing valve, slowly open the valve at the high and low pressure ends of the orifice plate, and then close the stainless steel three-valve balancing valve after the fluid passes through the flowmeter.
